Tanya Richey (1947-2017) was an American fine artist who traveled the United States, Europe, Egypt, the Soviet Union, China, and Japan painting the world as she saw it. Know for diverse style and broad brushstrokes she lives on through her art which hangs in public, private, government, and corporate collections across the globe.

Tanya Richey lived and worked in Fredericksburg VA for many years with a studio gallery on Caroline Street before moving to Japan. During that time she painted Fredericksburg as she saw it but also created spirited depictions of the cities past based on historical research.

A series of 12 chapbooks featuring the full color art of Tanya Richey along with her MyKu poetry. Living in Japan Tanya spent her mornings practicing Kanji, and reading Japanese literature. Haiku is a particularly intricate form of poetry; complex in its simplicity. As a novice poet she lovingly called her haiku style poetry "MyKu".
